Guitar/Vocals

Juan is married to Casting Crowns’ violinist Melodee. They travel with their two young children, sharing parenting duties on the road.

Juan helps with the youth group at Eagles Landing First Baptist Church, teaching a guys’ small group and training the student praise bands. He also helps out with writing, shooting, and editing videos for the youth programs (not to mention Casting Crowns video blogs).

Juan hails from Jacksonville, FL, and supports his hometown Jaguars. He has a degree in aviation and worked as a flight instructor before Casting Crowns got signed to a record label.
